The Sherwin-Williams Company Pro Sales Representative in Cleveland, Ohio

This position is responsible for increasing sales and profit by growing key, targeted customers within an assigned territory for the Menards business. The position will service and grow existing customers; develop and implement business plans, oversee program implementation, and develop customer relationships to expand product offerings. The Sales Representative will also be responsible for growing the business through prospecting for new customers, presenting sales opportunities, product training, and CRM utilization. Drive top line sales growth of products by developing business relationships with end users through Menards Home Center locations Develop and nurture business relationships with new and existing end users Conduct product and program knowledge training with Menards Team Members to increase product and program recognition and awareness Engaging in value added business meetings with General Managers / Assistant General Managers at each store visit Prospect qualified leads to increase incremental sales 2. Store service & training (20-30% of responsibilities) Monitor in-store inventory levels, maintaining a satisfactory stock for end users needs Service color centers, install and maintain in aisle & cross merchandising P.O.P. Conduct formal and informal Product Knowledge training on a regular basis at all stores including conducting hands on demos to increase brand knowledge and awareness Partner with DutchBoy Sales Service Rep as needed to train on all brands 3. Schedule & conducting outside sales calls (70-80% of responsibilities) Communicate with Menards key Team Members on outside sales call scheduling Target Customers Property Management General Contractors Rehab/Remodelers Commercial/Industrial Accounts Painting Contractors Governmental Accounts/Schools Cultivate leads, qualify prospects, schedule and perform sales calls with customers Effectively implement the Sales Cycle, including pre-call Enter all sales call information into internal sales call reporting application (Salesforce) 4. Develop & implement a successful business plan Create Annual Growth Plan (AGP) and revise as needed throughout year Review, interpret and analyze financial reports POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: High school diploma or GED Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales or Marketing KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 1+ years of experience in sales, customer service, operations, or marketing 1+ years of previous experience in Customer Service, Sales, or Marketing. Ability to work a flexible work schedule. This includes evenings and weekends with up to 9 Saturdays per year. Must have a valid driver's license Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have received at least a "meets expectations" (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal Preferred: 1 + years of experience interpreting financial reports such as the P&L 1+ years of experience calling on Big Box retailers as a vendor partner TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Required: Computer skills, Excel, Word, PowerPoint TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10% Sherwin-Williams is proud to be an Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, Inclusion and Diversity Supportive Employer.
