STATEMENT OF RESEARCH AND SCIENTIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES * A highly motivated and skilled researcher in public health nutrition with experience evaluating public health interventions or public health policies. * Projects currently address food as medicine interventions, culinary nutrition interventions, and school nutrition programs. * The qualified candidate will utilize qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques and apply behavior theories to human interventions. An interest in agent-based modeling is welcomed, but not required. * As a research associate, he/she will present data at departmental seminars and scientific meetings, prepare manuscripts, and contribute preliminary data for grant proposals. * Additional managerial experience will be an asset and looked upon favorably II. TECHNICAL SKILLS Please fill in. Highlighted portion examples: - Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research is strongly preferred, but some experience with quantitative data analysis is required. - Experience with human subjects research and conducting interdisciplinary and community-based research is preferred. - Registered dietitian credential preferred but not required. III. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES - Supervise research coordinator staff, visiting scholars, and student trainees in experimental design, data management, project management, and data analysis of a variety of projects. IV. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS - Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in nutrition, public health, food systems, or related field. - A background in community or public health is highly preferred. - The successful candidate must have strong analytical, oral and written communication skills.
