OMJ Cleveland Cuyahoga County is sourcing for a general laborer/maintenance position. A Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. A Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility. Some other tasks a Maintenance Technician may be called upon to do include: • Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair, hanging blinds, fixing toilets, • Changing light bulbs • Cleaning the grounds and common areas • Installing and testing GFCI's • Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries • Painting and drywall • Installing cabinets • Installing flooring (carpet or tile) • Installing smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors • Cleaning the unit (this can include trash outs and the final cleaning once the apartment or townhouse has been renovated) • Plumbing (installing a toilet, unclogging a drain, stopping a leak) • HVAC if needed Hours of availability include FT (40 hrs.) and PT (24 hrs.) options.
