Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opportunity for an Account Manager - Carbon Sales in Cleveland, Ohio. The Account Manager - Carbon Sales is responsible for supporting accounts based on product and/or market segments and will be seen as a sales business liaison, advocating for your customers internally while considering Cliffs' business goals. This position is the market facing side of the Cleveland-Cliffs Commercial organization. An ideal candidate has a strong customer relationship focus and is responsible for initiating in-person visits, representing Cliffs at regional industry events, and managing travel schedules which may include non-traditional work hours. Summary of Responsibilities: Full cycle negotiations between the company and the customer taking lead and/or support on spot, short term, project, and long-term contracts and special products by analyzing historical, current, and forecasted market/customer data to balance customer and company needs to achieve a consensus benefiting both parties. Possess a strong customer relationship focus and is responsible for initiating in person visits, representing Cleveland-Cliffs at industry events, and managing travel schedules which may include non-traditional work hours. Request business orders, maintain business relationships, create and develop new accounts and business opportunities, build a strong network, display honesty and integrity, demonstrate good judgement, entertain customers, and identify, communicate, and help remove barriers of entry for projects, contracts, customers, and markets. Communicate all business, market, and customer intelligence back into the organization in a timely and effective manner. Build a strong network within the industry and market related associations to better identify and exploit potential business opportunities. Manage and grow all aspects of the customer relationship through productive sales calls with an effort to develop relationships across all levels of their organization. Fully utilizes the system resources and sales tools available and newly developed future sales tools as part of daily management to perform job functions. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED. 2-3 years of Commercial experience in the Steel industry. Ability to analyze and synthesize data to make and justify informed decisions and forecasts. Must have strong time management skills and ability to work and manage through non-traditional work schedules. Skilled in influencing both internal and external stakeholders with limited decision-making authority. Broad understanding of the selling process. Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% and to stay in hotels 1-2 nights per week. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business or other related field. Experience in Customer Service / Product Control or Sales. Knowledge and understanding of market segments, product and mill capabilities supplied by Cleveland-Cliffs Steel Inc. and other light flat rolled steel producers.
