MetroHealth Manager - Purchasing in CLEVELAND, Ohio

Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: M-F 8AM-5PM

Summary:

Responsible for Managing daily transaction work within Supply Chain Purchasing Department. Plans, organizes and ensures the ongoing efficient operation of the Supply Chain Purchasing Team. Functions within the established policies and procedures set up by the MetroHealth System and Supply Chain Management. Develops and deploys annual purchasing goals in support of the strategic vision of the overall organization and holds department staff accountable for their role in supporting and implementing these goals. Provides overall strategic planning for proper staffing and support of the organization along with supporting the Director, Sourcing & Purchasing with goal achievement. Works collaboratively within all leadership functions in Supply Chain and Service lines in support of best practices within the overall Purchasing function. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required: High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam. Five years of healthcare purchasing experience with two-three years’ Management experience leading a staff in purchasing. Demonstrated leadership skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical skills. Experienced in the use of MS Office software packages.

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree Three to five years of experience leading a team in a hospital or government/public purchasing environment. Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or related professional certification in purchasing or supply chain management.

Physical Demands: May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job related documents. Ability to use computer.
