RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This person will be doing the send outs for the consult services team

• Once the case is completed by a pathologist and ready to be sent back to the doctor, etc.

• They will gather the slides, any wax blocks, etc. put them together

• Package, create FedEx labels to be sent back

• Entering information into LIS (laboratory information system) to track the case for the patient

• Need to be organized and have attention to detail

• Need to be organized and have attention to detail

• Comfortable moving around - will be a combination of sitting and moving around the lab building

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates Degree OR 3 years of lab experience

• Understanding that these slides are attached to a patients case and the work is an important piece of healthcare
