Program Description: Recent college graduate will participate in the Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP), a high level training program designed to provide candidates with training and company-wide knowledge through select technology courses and collaborative projects to be the leaders of tomorrow. Position Summary: Parker is transforming its line of industrial products into connected platforms that require reliable and extensible last-mile connectivity. This positon works to build applications for the Industrial Internet of things.

Scope/Supervision and Interaction: Under the direction of an experienced manager, participate in a year-long, project driven program with technical training; understand systems and processes in the area of IoT.

This role is familiar with a range of embedded systems, from microprocessor and microcontroller architectures through networking technologies for local as well as wide area networks.

This position deploys and supports various IoT systems for internal and external customers. This includes training as well as pre- and post-sales support of the IoT Systems.

Essential Functions: -Design and develop software on microprocessor architectures running high-level operating systems like Windows and Linux -Design and develop software to operate both local- (e.g. CAN, ModBus, RS485) and wide-area networks (Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, ZigBee / 6LoPAN) -Software development in C, C++, Python, Lua, and other languages -Create and maintain technical artifacts such as requirements, design, and test documentation -Complete assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines -Support divisions and customers using the embedded tools they have designed -Create and maintain training materials for consumption by divisions and customers -Create and maintain a knowledge base that other engineers can use to support

Qualifications: -Bachelor degree or Associate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline required -Advanced computer usage skills (Windows, Linux, command line, version control systems, and embedded software development tools) -Knowledge of with ARM and other micro-controller & processor systems -Proficiency in internet and networking communications protocols, particularly CAN, Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, and sub 1GHz technologies -Proficiency with modern security protocols and practices -Proficient skills related to oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and other laboratory tools for debug and development -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Excellent problem solving skills -Ability to work in a fast paced environment with quickly changing priorities -Self-directed, goal oriented, able to multi-task
