What we're looking for...

The Outbound Fulfillment Manager oversees and manages the outbound fulfillment logistics in distribution operations. This role is responsible for shipping products to customers and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, optimizing processes, and effectively communicating amongst thefunctional areas onsite at Oatey’s distribution center.

Expectations & Accountabilities

  • Ensures timely picking/shipping processes for all orders.

  • Develops a labor plan to support all picking and shipping functions.

  • Effectively communicate and partner with the Planning Manager to ensure proper prioritization of the workload.

  • Ensures proper planning processes are complete before initializing the picking process.

  • Develops, communicates, and tracks metrics tied to all outbound functions.

  • Manages the Distribution yard and provides reporting for the outbound trailer fleet.

  • Manages the daily activities to ensure productivity targets are met for each shift while maintaining quality standards.

  • Develops direct and indirect associates to ensure appropriate backup/successors in all key positions.

  • Coach and develop direct reports for excellence while documenting their progress and cross-training to provide adequate coverage in key areas.

  • Review performance reporting with the shift supervisors to assist in coaching and development of the supervisors and their direct reports.

  • Responsible for assisting the operations leadership and EHSS Manager in adhering to safety guidelines and performing quality work as outlined.

  • Supports consistent implementation of human resource policies and procedures including the attendance policy, performance merit ratings, associate counseling, and leadership development skills with managers and supervisors.

  • Collaborates with the EHSS manager regarding repairs and maintenance of the facility. This includes all material handling equipment and infrastructure changes and modifications to the DC.

  • Continually review and improve processes to increase efficiency and improve standard work procedures in adherence with quality standards.

  • Ensure good communication flow between departments and the leadership team.

  • Manage infrastructure modifications to improve the efficiency of Outbound Fulfillment while recommending opportunities for improvement to the DC manager.

  • Continue to improve the culture of the facility and lead by example ensuring standard work is being applied consistently on all shifts.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to be successful.

  • Three to five years of experience managing distribution operations for a large workforce working multiple shifts.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and generate results in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of inventory management and how products flow throughout the distribution center.

  • Demonstrated team and individual leadership skills: decision-making, analytical, team building, and organization skills.

  • Strong written and oral communication ability, detail-oriented, and advanced organizational skills.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field or equivalent work experience.

Qualifications that can set you apart.

  • Three to five yearsof experience with SAP, warehousing, and distribution systems.

  • Bilingual preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience with SAP/WMS.
