Aerotek Deburring Technician in Cleveland, Ohio

Job Title: Deburring Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Deburring Technician for our 1st shift from 6am to 4:30pm. This role involves the washing, polishing, and deburring of parts, as well as assisting in various departments when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Wash parts

  • Polish and deburr parts

  • Grind parts on a wheel

  • Assist in other departments as needed

  • Help with sandblasting during certain times of the month

  • Assist in packing parts

  • Lift up to 30 lbs occasionally

  • Sit or stand for extended periods

  • Work with a variety of materials such as hardened steel, carbide, coated parts, and diamond coating

  • Collaborate closely with machinists and the QC department to improve part quality

  • Use problem-solving skills to try new techniques for deburring, cleaning, and polishing otherwise inaccessible areas

  • Self-inspect work to ensure consistent quality within same-part work orders and between similar parts and materials

  • Maintain good hand-eye coordination

  • Maintain a clean working environment

  • Identify and notify the Quality team of potential defects or non-conforming material

  • Adjust and change machine tools to ensure deburring meets company specifications

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of deburring or grinding experience

  • Detail-oriented and meticulous

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints

  • Basic shop math skills

  • Understanding and appreciation for tight tolerances

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Aerospace experience is a plus

  • Experience in quality inspection

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
