Case Western Reserve University Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in International Relations or Comparative Pol in Cleveland, Ohio

Posted December 01, 2023 The Department of Political Science at Case Western Reserve University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position. The successful applicant will study International Relations or Comparative Politics with a focus on Asia. The position will commence July 1, 2024, and requires a PhD or ABD in Political Science. Case Western Reserve University is a private R1 research university where Political Science faculty teach a standard 2-2 load. Candidates should submit 1) a cover letter, 2) a curriculum vitae, 3) an approximately one-page research statement, 4) an approximately one-page teaching statement, 5) a publication or writing sample, 6) an approximately one-page diversity statement, and 7) three letters of recommendation. The diversity statement should describe how one's research, teaching, and/or service contribute to diversity, equity and inclusion within a scholarly field(s) and/or how individual and/or collaborative efforts have promoted structural justice inside and outside institutions of higher learning. This statement should also reflect on the ways in which one's continued efforts would foster a culture of diversity, pluralism, and individual difference at Case Western Reserve University.
