POSITION OBJECTIVE  The Assistant Dean for Career Success will serve as a visionary leader in shaping the strategic direction of student engagement, career development and student outcomes within the Weatherhead School of Management. Collaborates with direct reports and with various departments, programs and staff to enhance student experiences, prepare students for professional and personal success, explore career opportunities, cultivate employer partnerships, and drive successful career outcomes. The primary objective is to foster a dynamic ecosystem that empowers students to thrive professionally, and personally. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Strategic Leadership and Vision: Develop and articulate a strategic vision for career success initiatives aligned with institutional goals and industry trends. Lead the implementation of innovative strategies to enhance student engagement and career development. Assess the effectiveness of career services to inform future initiatives. (25%) 2. Career and Professional Development Design and Implementation: Spearhead the design and implementation of a comprehensive student experience focused on career readiness. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and employers to create programs, workshops, and resources that enhance students' professional skills and employability. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of career development opportunities into the academic curriculum. Provide leadership, guidance and partnership in the design and delivery of mentorship programs, and professional development workshops. (25%) 3. Positive Student Outcomes: Develop and direct a successful, repeatable student career journey that includes professional development and career readiness, career mentoring and coaching, and optimal student outcomes (with a particular focus on internships and full-time employment). (25%) 4. Employer and External Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with employers, industry leaders, alumni, and key stakeholders to enhance networking, internship, and full-time employment opportunities. Drive initiatives to expand employer engagement and increase internship and job placement rates. Collaborate with external partners and the Corporate Relations team and other initiatives that engage potential employers that benefit student outcomes and enhance the school's reputation. (25%) NONESSENTIAL FUNCITONS  Perform other duties as assigned. (<1%) CONTACTS Department: Regular contact with colleagues (participate in departmental, program and staff meetings (as appropriate), and participate and lead ongoing training). Pursue shared goals and collaborate to achieve immediate operating results and strategic priorities. University: Regular contact with faculty and staff colleagues at Weatherhead along with peers outside of Weatherhead (e.g., undergraduate Career Center). External: Occasional alumni and employers, advisory boards, friends of the school. Students: Regular contact with students. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Direct supervisory responsibility for the Career Success team. QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Minimum 10 years progressive leadership experience in career services (career readiness, career exploration and employer engagement), student affairs, or related field within higher education. Education/Licensing: Master¿s degree required. PhD preferred or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant field (e.g., higher education administration, counseling, business administration, etc.). REQUIRED SKILLS 1. Demonstrated success in strategic planning, program development, and stakeholder engagement. 2. Highly motivated, self-starter orientation to enable achievement of key goals, particularly student outcomes at competitive salaries.  3. Strong interpersonal and team-work skills with demonstrated initiative and the ability to drive toward tangible metrics
