EMCOR Group Information Technology (IT) Support Technician in Clemmons, North Carolina

Description

The ideal IT support technician will provide technical assistance and support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, software and hardware. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong customer service orientation, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide first-level technical support services to Bahnson employees via phone, email, or in-person.

  • Provide training and guidance to employees on best practices and IT policies.

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware components using SCCM/Autopilot and set up workstations.

  • Support and maintain security access and permissions for all ERP systems.

  • Document and track Help Desk Requests, resolutions, and follow-up actions.

  • Collaborate with Senior IT team members to resolve complex technical issues.

  • Assist in managing CVEs and security patching on endpoints.

  • Ensure that Corporate SOPs are followed for all current and future IT policies.

  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

  • Assist IT Manager with IT Disaster Recovery Plans.

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent work experience

  • Some Knowledge of computer, networking, and mobile devices, Microsoft products including Windows 10 & 11, Server 2016+. O365, Teams, and Active Directory preferred.

PREFERRED SKILLS and ABILITIES

Effective time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to learn and support new technology

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and work with minimal supervision

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
