Canvas Inc. Facility Manager/Security Technician in Clearfield, Utah

Job Title: Facility Manager/Security Technician

Location: Hill AFB, UT (Hybrid)

Canvas is seeking a Facility Manager/Security Technician the 719th Test Squadron on the TMAS II contract at Hill AFB! This position is to provide assistance and advisory services to the DoD.

Duties:

  • Delegate cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members.

  • Monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces.

  • Perform routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed.

  • Schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.

  • Ensure proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals.

  • Maintain day-to-day operations of facilities (e.g. delegate or complete maintenance orders).

  • Create reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.

  • Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions.

  • Support the CTF Information Technologies (IT)/classified networks.

  • Maintain an understanding of the full range of networks required for mission execution.

  • Assist CTF members with obtaining required network access.

  • Provide coordination between eh CTF and program office IT branch.

  • Collaborate with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facility needs Implementing DoD, USAF, MAJCOM and Center policies and develops local procedures for the classification and protection of controlled unclassified information and classified material.

  • Conduct classification reviews and process inbound and outbound correspondence and data transfer files at up to Top Secret level.

  • Assist in the maintenance of a document accountability database and associated correspondence.

  • Maintain various daily security logs for functions associated with document control.

  • Move electronic data files to multiple data storage systems.

  • Assist with inbound and outbound visit request.

  • Ensure processes are in place for escorting facility visitors and maintain associated logs of activities.

  • Assist in getting team members facility access control badges.

  • Assist in maintaining personnel security files.

  • Follow and enforce the customer's Standard Operating Procedures, such as entry and exit inspections, facility access control systems, Air Force Special Access Program (SAP) security compliance inspections, and security awareness and education programs.

  • Review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities with appropriate government personnel to achieve appropriate clearance actions.

  • Assist in the maintenance and operations oversight of the electronic security system.

  • Facilitate SAP Nomination Process Questionnaires.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline; Master's degree desired.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors and team members.

  • Great time management, organization and prioritization abilities.

  • Ability to coordinate with large groups.

  • Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills.

  • Mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and other building systems.

  • Proficiency with repair tools and techniques.

  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) desired.

  • Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) desired.

  • Knowledge of ICBMs desired.

  • Experience as an Equipment Custodian desired.

    Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

    Other Essential Job Functions: Must be able to lift heavy equipment and be comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time.
