What you'll do:  Implement and maintain student accommodation plans and provide instruction to special education students..

Essential functions:

• Oversee the accommodation process by reviewing Job Corps applicant files for possible health, mental health, physical, drug and alcohol or education accommodations

• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team (DAC) to identify accommodations needed. Provide applicant materials to DAC members for review and ensure the review process is thorough and appropriate

• Determine if accommodation is reasonable3 for center to provide

• Modify accommodations when needed. If necessary, reconvene the DAC periodically to develop more effective accommodations for individual students

• Set up and maintain accommodation files. Monitor, track and follow up on the effectiveness of accommodations

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and 1 year experience with developing individual accommodation plans for clients with mental health, physical and learning disability issues required.

• Prefer valid UT secondary teaching certification with an endorsement in special education

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency required

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, unless waived by management
