Ford Motor Company PVT Engineer KCAP in Claycomo, Missouri

  • Support Kansas City Assembly (F150) Manufacturing Plant (PTO), VFG (PD) and PVT efforts to achieve the vehicle line and aligned functional quality objectives.

  • Lead VRT (Variability Reduction Team) process, work with cross-functional subsystem variability teams (VFG/PRT) to drive quality improvement focused on customer requirements.

  • Monitor daily CQIS reports for emerging functional issues.

  • Contact Dealerships to investigate GSAR claim details and part returns.

  • Working with QOSC/MPEP to map Plant controllable issues to root cause, develop countermeasures and document in BSAQ.

  • Work with PTO Plant PRTs/STA to map supplier controllable issues to root cause. Ensure that countermeasures are documented in BSAQ.

  • Identify gaps to Vehicle Line roadmap objectives and countermeasures.

  • Prepare/present IPTSE Documents at VRT board reviews, VQR's, SAR's. Ensure PTO/PD/Supplier representation and CCC 6 Panels / GD8's, as required.

You'll have...

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering.

  • 2+ years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Even better, you may have...

  • Cooling system and AC experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.

  • Warranty claims and diagnostic experience is highly preferred.

  • Ford Warranty systems knowledge of BSAQ and GSAR.

  • Demonstrated Technical Problem-Solving Skills.

  • Strong understanding of Powertrain and associated automotive systems.

  • Ability to establish a System Engineering approach to problem solving.

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools for documentation and presentation.

  • Engineering Problem Solving; root cause identification and analysis, developing Containment Actions and Permanent Corrective Actions.

  • Success working in a fast-paced challenging environment.
