The Voyager 3 RTU and Commercial Self Contained (CSC) Senior Product Manager will act as the Product Growth Team (PGT) Leader for these important groups of products with over $150M of annual revenue. This role is at the center of it all: defining new product requirements, pricing, product launch strategy, leading in-line product management, and partnering closely with operations, engineering, marketing, and more This role will determine the strategic direction and investment allocation for these products that aligns with Enterprise North Box targets as well as Strategic Business Unit Critical Strategic Decisions.

The Senior Product Manager will need to have a deep understanding of product management practices, solid business and financial acumen, and people influencing capabilities. The selected candidate will possess strong analytical skills that enables him/her to make timely and data-informed decisions that accelerates profitable growth. He/She will be fully responsible for – and accountable to – meeting or exceeding Trane Technologies organic revenue growth targets, growing market share, and expanding EBITDA margins while advancing our enterprise ESG effort.

Where is the work:

This position has been designated as Remote and work will be performed Central Time Zone. Based on experience and qualifications, this role can also sit in Davidson, NC / Clarksville, TN or St. Paul, MN in a hybrid capacity, with relocation assistance provided.

What you will do:

  • Develop market requirements for new products.

  • Build and align the PGT around a shared vision and drive a winning culture throughout the team.

  • Set the growth strategy Voyager 3 RTU and CSC product lines including the prioritization of specific investments.

  • Manage 3rd party manufacturer New Product Development pipeline, margins, and relationship with respect to sourced product offering.

  • Define assessment process and confirm filtering and prioritization criteria that PGTs will use for the quantification of growth opportunities that would allow Trane Technologies to participate in markets that are growing faster and most profitably.

  • Establish and validate that business models (financial management, risk management, industry metrics, ROI, etc.) are being used across the products managed.

  • Lead directly and/or lead through influence the activities on projects related to the business categories: Operations, Product Management, Sales and Marketing, Engineering, Innovation.

  • Help to make resource allocation decisions in dialog with other functional leaders.

  • Develop and adhere to an Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and coordinate planning across product lines as appropriate.

  • Ensure the PGT is using standard work for strategy, in-line management, TLME, and GDLO.

  • Ensure PGTs are performing against defined metrics in the plan including organic growth revenue, EBIDTA margins, market share, and price realization.

What you will bring:

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager with increasing levels of complexity and strategic focus.

  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred).

  • Deep technical background, with experience in sales, marketing, or engineering preferred.

  • Excellent team management skills.

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.

  • Sound program management, analysis, problem resolution, teambuilding, judgment and decision-making skills.

  • Experience on cross-functional teams preferred.

  • Experience working with sourced products is desired.

  • Should have a proven track record of innovative solutions and thinking.

  • Must be able to travel 25-35% of the time.

  • HVACR industry a plus.

Compensation:

Base Salary: $108,000 - $154,000

Additional Compensation: Total compensation for this role also will include an incentive plan.
