Senior Transportation Project Manager/ Professional Engineer 2024-43

Location: Lewis Clark Valley Office (Clarkston, WA) Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Transportation Project Manager to help develop and manage transportation CE&I projects administered through ITD and/or LHTAC in Northern Idaho. The project manager position is a key position within J-U-B's corporate structure, providing leadership in capturing and executing projects, while also mentoring and supporting staff.  This position will report directly to the Area Manager. The person selected for this position will generally support clients and projects in the geography related to ITD Districts 1 and 2.  However, there may a different combination of Districts or projects in other locations that are included as well.  Candidates residing in the Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, or Treasure Valley area are encouraged to apply without need for relocation. Project Management Roles

  • Manage and coordinate a team of qualified professionals throughout project scope development, initiation to close-out following the requirements of ITD and/or LHTAC .
  • Provide technical expertise in all facets of construction management for transportation projects including interpreting plans, specification, estimates, and critical path schedules.
  • Provide oversight of all documentation and document controls for projects including federal aid.
  • Develop and manage project scope, schedule, budget and contract documents for ITD and/or LHTAC review and approval.
  • Track financial aspects of the projects and notify team of necessary adjustment needed to maintain budget while maintaining the goal of the project.
  • Attend project weekly progress meetings and assess risk and any long-term schedule impacts that may influence the project budget.
  • Be responsible for project communication and updates with team and client, and supervisor.

Leadership Roles

  • Supervise, mentor, and coach support staff.
  • Support Area Manager and Construction Manager in the development of staff and market sector.

Business Development Roles

  • Lead marketing/business development activities for transportation CE&I.
  • Track future opportunities and develop strategy to win opportunities.
  • Assist in making go/no-go decisions on RFP's and RFI's.
  • Develop partnering and teaming strategy.
  • Leading the development of a proposal with support from JUB's proposal group.
  • Help grow J-U-B's CE&I market space through collaboration with others doing similar work across Idaho.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and public agencies (Airports/FAA, Transportation Departments, State, Counties/Cities, FHWA, etc.) on projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering

A current Idaho PE license required or ability to obtain an Idaho PE license within three months

10 years of progressive transportation engineering (construction management) experience

Experience with ITD and/or LHTAC CE&I required

Proven ability to work with others and to manage project schedules and deliverables.
