Mississippi Employer Maintenace Techician III in Clarksdale, Mississippi

Responsible for general maintenance of all facilities and equipment used on property.

Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and replacing gaming table layouts.

Testing and maintaining HVAC system, alarm system, and generators.

Maintaining and monitoring all lift stations and grease traps.

Painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and other projects relating to maintenance of the property.

Schedule preventative maintenance for all facilities. Order equipment and chemicals used to maintenance.

Reviewing of blueprints, building permits, and diagrams for constructional repairs.

Ensure the safety and security of all guest and employees.

Other duties as assigned.

EQUIPMENT/TECHNICAL

Hand tools, power tools, machinery that relates to the function of a maintenance shop, chemicals, ladders, bucket truck, forklift, and safety equipment.

WORK AREA

All facilities on property.  Some confined areas.   Exposed to hot and cold temperatures.  Varied weather conditions, fumes, and chemicals used in maintenance.  Casino environment that may be located on a boat and/or floating barge, high-rise hotel and atrium.  Exposed to smoke, bright lights, and noise.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

A high school diploma or GED equivalent.  Two years experience in air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and welding.  Two years experience in building maintenance.  Valid drivers license.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions.  Ability to use all necessary tools and equipment to perform maintenance functions.  Answer all calls promptly and maintain politeness; pay attention to the needs of employees and guests at all times.  Knowledge of OSHA required standards and safety requirements. Knowledge of personal protective equipment.  Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.

Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude.  Complete knowledge of all facilities and entertainment available to guest.
