DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Food Service Worker 1, you will perform a variety of food service, food preparation, and sanitation tasks in the dietary operation on a rotational basis. Some of these duties include assembling the supplemental/nourishment/snack area by using current patient census for distribution to all patient units; preparing simple menu items such as broth and sandwiches; preparing bagged meals as needed; and handling minor food preparation and service for special dietary catered hospital functions at the direction of the Food Service Supervisor.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. The work schedule includes rotating days, every third weekend off, and holiday work as assigned. Work schedule may change based on operational need. Overtime and travel may be required. Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
