DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Facility Guardian Officer within the Department of Human Services, your role will involve executing intricate responsibilities as a court-appointed guardian or representative payee for clients at the facility who lack an external appointee or have consented to such an appointment. In this capacity, you will evaluate the financial circumstances of residents and authorize the distribution of funds in compliance with state fiduciary laws, departmental policies, relevant legislation, and regulations pertaining to benefits, while also considering the specific needs of each resident.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time after successful completion of probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Clarks Summit. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Four years of bookkeeping experience and one year of experience in financial planning or management of individual accounts; or Two years of bookkeeping experience and one year of experience in financial planning or management of individual accounts, and an associate's degree in business administration or accounting;or An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of financial planning or management of individual accounts.
