Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Sonography Technologist for the Clark Imaging Center. The imaging site needs a candidate that can work Wednesdays and Fridays from 4p - 8p, and Saturdays from 8a - 4p.

Responsible for effective delivery of care to patients in a multi-modality setting by operating US equipment to capture appropriate images.

• Prepares patients for US exams and explains procedure to patient prior to the exam. Correlates the clinical history with the US exam to be performed.

• Follows Professional, and Departmental guidelines while performing diagnostic and accurate imaging.

  Imaging includes Abdomen, OB/GYN, Renal, Endo-vaginal, Aorta, Testicular, Thyroid, non-vascular limited, and pediatric specific.

• Able to access, interpret, communicate, and deliver age-appropriate care. Ability to troubleshoot equipment.

• Practice universal precautions and aseptic technique to prevent cross contamination.

• Ensure all images are properly marked and patient identification is accurate.

• Respond to individual needs of patients and family.

• Adheres to standards of care per policy and procedure manual.

• Treat fellow employees in a respectful professional manner demonstrating PRIDE values.

• Ensure open, respectful communication between peers. Maintains open communication with Manager, Assistant Manager and Business Supervisor. Provides feedback and suggestions for improvement.

• Contributes to the team and works cooperatively with peers.

• Demonstrates ability to multi-task and prioritize. Seeks pro-active solutions to address questions concerns.

  Minimum Education:

  High School diploma or GED required

  Graduate of Accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.

  Minimum Experience:

2 + experience performing Ultrasound.

License/Certification:

ARMS Certified (ABD & OB/GYN preferred)

BLS - current certification
