Bureau of Reclamation Supervisory Maintenance Manager in Clark County, Nevada

Summary Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Supervisory Maintenance Manager. You can make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment. Duty Location: This is not a remote position. The position reports to the Hoover Dam, Clark County, NV. Responsibilities The primary duties of this position include: Developing immediate and long-range program plans, goals, objectives, and milestones for all maintenance activities including electrical, general, mechanical, and testing maintenance work functions for the Hoover Dam. Through subordinate supervisors, administering and overseeing the development, implementation, and coordination of work activities and policies related to these programs. Providing substantial management advisory services on assigned programs. Developing work plans, objectives, and priorities for program accomplishments. Providing positive direction and guidance on administrative and technical determinations to ensure that work is accomplished within program and policy objectives. Establishing criteria for measuring the effectiveness of the office's overall accomplishments in meeting established goals and objectives and takes positive action to correct deficiencies. Evaluating employee/organizational productivity efficiency and costs for measurement and continuous improvement. Identifying and implementing new or improved business and management practices for application including methods for improving work processes and /or for integrating appropriate technology into the organization. Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Selective Placement Factor: This position requires the employee to file a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450 within 30 days of entrance on duty. Failure to provide proof of such license will cause you to be rated ineligible for this position. You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 09/30/2024. Education This position does not allow substituting education for experience. Additional Information You may be required to serve an initial probationary period. You may be required to serve an initial supervisory probation period. This is not a virtual position. Reclamation has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and you may be allowed to telework with supervisory approval. Current Reclamation policy requires non-supervisory employees to report to the official duty station a minimum of at least 50 percent of their regularly scheduled tour of duty per pay period. Full time telework or remote work is not available for this position. Selectees must be eligible to telework under the 2010 Telework Act. Permanent Change of Station (PCS) expenses are authorized with the exception of the Guaranteed Home Sale Provision or first-post-of-duty relocation expenses are authorized, as applicable.
