Primary Function: Performs mechanical repair, service and PM work on all equipment maintained by the company. Assist in maintaining company service and shop equipment.

Essential Position Responsibilities:

• Service and repair equipment that is scheduled for assigned service lane.
• Be available for reassignment to other projects throughout the day (including road break-down calls.)
• Trailer repairs including but not limited to Wheel end and bearing repairs, Foundation brakes (Drum and Disc) , understand and repair ABS failures and complex lighting systems.
• Operate a computer terminal to inquire and generate unit maintenance forms
• Help maintain a clean and safe working area.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Component rebuild of heavy duty dry or reefer trailer.
• Trade seminars and equipment/component service seminars a plus.
• Must be able to make decisions and establish work priorities.
• A high level of accuracy is required
