Purpose
To provide field-based non-promotional medical and scientific support for the Chiesi business, with the aim of providing high quality, accurate and timely scientific advice to healthcare professionals regarding the company´s products and associated disease area(s).
To contribute to the development and implementation of Chiesi strategic planning by providing medical insight and applying expert knowledge about the product and/or disease area.
To identify, develop and maintain credible relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and academic centres.
Main Responsibilities
Medical expert providing a high quality, accurate and timely scientific advice, to healthcare professionals for products available in Mexico and its associated disease areas.
Expert medical resource to provide in-house clinical expertise for new molecules, support in local and/or international trials and keep up-to-date with relevant clinical development plans of Chiesi products and the disease areas.
Serve as medical expert for the commercial team with regards to formulary applications, answering queries regarding clinical development plans, support ad-hoc projects like audits and guidelines development and medical education seminars while keeping the safe use of our products.
Identify and develop professional relationships and promote collaboration with the health care community, with focus on KOLs, in the dedicated therapeutic areas.
Provide KOLs and researchers with scientific information in accordance to local legislative regulations and Chiesi standards and establish long term relationships working in specific therapeutic fields.
Conduct scientific pre-launch activities; developing, reviewing & presenting training materials to Sales Force, including periodic evaluation of knowledge, Mktg material review & objection handling.
Increase scientific knowledge in the community of products by conducting Advisory Boards
Gather competitive intelligence from the field by representing Chiesi on national and international scientific events, symposiums and congresses
Report feedback from customers on scientific topics and insights related to Chiesi products and/or relevant therapeutic and disease areas.
Support Market access strategies for products available in Mexico ie Real world evidence (RWE), local trials, Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS), publications, Pharmacoeconomic dossiers and/or scientific training to decision makers (ad-hoc)
Experience Required
2+ years in the therapeutic area or pharmaceutical Industry or equivalent experience (ie clinical practice, clinical researcher, MSL)
Education
Medical Degree (MD) or or related to medical sciences (biology, chemistry, nutrition, pharmacology, epidemiology, pharmacobiological chemist)
Specialty and/or advance degree in science highly desirable (MSc, PhD, Pharm D)
Languages
Spanish native speaker
Fluent oral and written English
Technical Skills
Experienced in medical practice & intermediate to advanced Scientific acumen
Probed ability to understand, process, communicate and present Scientific & medical terminology/topics to internal and external stakeholders
Basic to intermediate training in drug development and clinical trials
Basic to intermediate understanding of regulatory & pharmacovigilance requirements for pharma Industry
Intermediate to advanced ability to display analytical thinking
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously (under supervision) with superior results
Possesses sense of urgency; identifies challenges and problems and takes the initiative to identify solutions and/or challenge status quo in a positive manner
