The Prod Ctrl Sr. Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for ensuring the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the bank's books and records in coordination with the Finance team. The overall objective of this role is to control and support data integrity and general ledger reconciliation, profit attribution and new activity analysis, valuation control and product P&L and balance sheet reporting.
Responsibilities:
Apply in-depth industry knowledge towards the development of new techniques and improving processes or work-flow for the Finance department
Serve as a subject matter expert within Finance
Evaluate moderately complex issues utilizing data, and select the best action between potentially conflicting situations
Analyze data by filtering, prioritizing, and validating moderately complex information from multiple sources
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
5-8 years of relevant experience
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
This role will cover Profit and Loss reporting and analysis of Legacy Franchise Banamex Markets and Corporate Treasury. It will require strong communication skills and teamwork across multiple locations and departments.
Responsibilities:
Elaborate Treasury P&L commentary linking results with market movements
Reconcile MTD daily P&L figures from product control report to the general ledger and management reports
Clearly document procedures followed
Coordinate with other areas mapping of new products from the daily P&L report to books and records
Coordinate with Technology the projects to connect the different front end systems to S2
Support Product Control Director
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Extensive experience across Product Control and Finance processes
A proven track record of working in teams
A control focused mind-set with strong process improvement capabilities
A proven knowledge in Debt securities, IR, FX, Commodities and Equity Derivatives
For this position it is required to solve problems that require careful analysis, diagnosis and interpretation in order to develop alternative solutions.
6 to 12 years of experience in Financial Industry
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, engineering, finance or economics.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure in a rapidly changing environment;
Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
Motivated, organized, and team oriented
Control focused-mindset
Understand balance sheet management concepts
Proficient level of English
