Citigroup Assistant Vice President, Business Analyst - Payroll Supplier Strategy (Taguig) in City of Taguig, Philippines
The Junior Business Analyst role is a seasoned professional role applying strong business analytical skills to understand current state, identify control gaps, document requirements for Technology and new payroll vendors. Applies in-depth knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow between vendors and payroll. This role requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required.
Responsibilities:
The Junior Analyst performs business analysis support for Senior Business Analysts; Creates and manages multiple types of documentation including meeting minutes and follow up, timeline updates, etc..
Serves as subject matter expert for payroll processes and procedures.
Creates and manages business requirements for internal and external system requirements and application test plans.
Executes test plans and identifies and documents discrepancies found through the ability to accurately assess output against expected results; Resolves discrepancies with technical and/or business personnel, communicates issues and results clearly, and retests as required.
Develops plans and supports local teams on the transition to the new system.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Assists with business case, review business requirements, gap analysis, feasibility study in long term benefit, requirement and solution review with stakeholders.
Works with Lead BA to understand business needs, write requirements, conduct walk throughs on requirement documents and obtain Project Sponsor, Product and Operations approvals.
Reviews Functional Requirements to Business Requirements to ensure Technology has understood and met the end users’ needs/expectations.
Prioritizes requirements and create conceptual prototypes and mock-ups.
Partners with Technology, Product and Operations Management Teams to prioritize delivery of key projects.
Applies best practices for effective communication and problem-solving.
Work with regional and global team and implement the best standards across teams.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of Workday and Global Payroll.
Hands on experience in running complex payrolls.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Expert analytical skills and attention to detail.
2-3 years of experience analyzing business requirements, developing test plans and issue/discrepancy resolution.
Ability to operate independently, in a team environment, working efficiently in a multi office/time zone/cross-cultural environment, and negotiating effectively with those in other functional/technical areas and countries.
Proficient user of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) required
