We are offering an exciting opportunity in the retail industry in City of Industry, California, for an Experienced Staff Accountant. This role involves comprehensive accounting tasks, including month-end close procedures, journal entries, reconciliations, and inventory accounting. As an Experienced Staff Accountant, you will support store operations and contribute to the maintenance of our financial health.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reports

• Prepare and record detailed journal entries as part of the company's financial statements

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance

• Handle inventory accounting, maintaining accurate records of goods and materials

• Provide accounting support to store operations, contributing to effective financial management

• Implement lease accounting in accordance with Lease Accounting Standard ASC 842

• Use General Ledger systems for tracking and recording financial transactions

• Conduct annual inventory assessments to keep records current and accurate

• Utilize your skills in 'Journal Entries', 'Month End Close', 'Annual Inventory', and 'Lease Accounting' to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the retail industry

• Proficient in General Ledger management and maintenance

• Demonstrated experience with Journal Entries and Month End Close procedures

• Proven ability in managing Annual Inventory processes

• Expertise in Lease Accounting practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Knowledge of accounting software and applications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) credentials are preferred but not required.
