  • Identify, articulate, and commercialize key category growth ideas and opportunities to maximize our retailers' category growth potential while creating value for the Coca-Cola Company

  • Recognize retail trends and steward back to the internal and external clients, to influence strategy and development of the category initiatives based on key growth trends

  • Commercialize key beverage category strategic initiatives focused on driving category growth, championing category viability, and defending against category erosion

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the sales and category team to identify opportunities in the areas of assortment, space, distribution, pricing and promotional strategies.

  • Present category analysis, opportunities and solutions to Kroger category managers.

  • Enable business intelligence and action-oriented insights by mining large, diverse data sets and creating dashboard-style reporting.

  • Analytical interpretation of data utilizing best in class tools such as Market 6, 84.51, Nielsen, JDA, and other industry tools.

  • Deliver standardized reporting to support category team, sales team, and Kroger.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree

Related Work Experience:

Minimum Required:

  • 1-2 years Analytical experience:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong curiosity to explore various data sources to uncover hidden trends and opportunities

  • Ability to identify insights from data mining and craft into a compelling fact-based selling story

  • Advanced Excel experience

Preferred Level:

  • Prior experience in Category / Space Management or Shopper Insights

  • Experience with data visualization tools, including Tableau

  • CPG industry experience

  • Kroger experience

  • Experience with Market 6, 84.51, Nielsen, SQL

Functional Skills:

  • Information: Manage and synthesize diverse data sources to identify business trends and insights into results (Scan data, syndicated resources, custom research, store level observation, etc)

  • Interpretation: Identify opportunities to deliver category and customer growth through fact-based recommendations

  • Influence: Implement category management principles / decisions to drive tangible results. Meet with customer to influence decisions related to assortment, promotions, space, display, etc

  • Project Management: work with category manager, sales leads and customer-specific to identify project parameters. Develop scorecard to track / measure project & provide progress updates and results analysis
