Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant in the Manufacturing industry, based in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role involves overseeing inventory and job costing, as well as maintaining the chart of accounts. The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including reviewing balance sheet accounts, supporting month/year end close, and assisting in the timely preparation and analysis of accounting statements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee inventory and job costing to ensure accuracy

• Maintain the chart of accounts for easy reference and organization

• Review, reconcile, and analyze balance sheet accounts to ensure financial accuracy

• Support month/year end close to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

• Assist in the timely preparation and analysis of accounting statements

• Complete various financial reports in addition to ad-hoc reporting

• Provide technical support and review work of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable personnel

• Assist with annual financial audit to ensure compliance with financial regulations

• Review internal control and make recommendations for improvement to enhance financial processes

• Develop and document business processes and policies to maintain and strengthen internal control

• Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements to maintain financial integrity

• Maintain fixed asset records and subledger for accurate asset tracking.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in a Senior Accountant role, preferably within the manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Expertise in handling general ledger and journal entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with month-end close procedures

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) credentials are advantageous

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
