About the role:

As a Purchased Transportation Sales Executive (PT NSE) for TQL, you will be responsible for growing TQL's purchased transportation FTL business with LTL carriers. We are looking for someone with business-to-business sales experience to build upon existing and new relationships. This is an opportunity to utilize the 2nd largest freight brokerage firm's resources to grow a new business unit within TQL.

What you'll be doing:

  • Working with LTL Carriers to gain their FTL purchased transportation business
  • Developing relationships with LTL carriers at multiple levels of the organization
  • Developing operational processes for the carriers purchased transportation needs
  • Engaging with established TQL sales teams with carriers as customers to grow the business with active carriers as customers
  • Be the escalation point for business issues with the Carriers purchased transportation business
  • Work with the Logistics Account Executive to price business
  • Have Quarterly business reviews with carriers as customers, attend meetings and conferences as needed
  • Traveling to meet carriers as customers as needed
  • Communicating industry trends and market conditions to TQL leadership, operations teams, and customers

What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
  • 2+ years LTL logistics experience
  • Brokerage experience preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • High sense of urgency with a results-oriented focus
  • On call 24/7/365 to receive calls from carriers, clients, and TQL
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship-building skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite -- Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Self-directed with the ability to solve problems with minimal oversight
  • Strong phone, and in-person sales, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work and learn in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
