Job Description

A global manufacturer client in flavor and fragrance ingredients of Insight Global is expanding their team in Cincinnati, OH and is looking to hire on two Quality Control (QC) Technician at an entry level. This person will be reporting to the Quality Manager to help spearhead the increase in business growth and is wanting this person who prides themselves in being detail oriented, looks at this industry as an art more so than a science, enjoys working cross functionally as a team player as well as wanting a position where they can grow long term. The individuals who join the team will be trained/caught up to speed on the overall business with direction from their manager to ensure they feel setup for success.

Essential day-to-day functions:

- Conduct the testing for all incoming raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. Assists production and R&D with problems related to the quality of samples, process improvement, etc.

- Experience with conducting specific gravity, refractive index, total solids, brix and pH tests

- Conduct the daily activities of the Quality Control Lab in a cost effective and efficient manner.

- Expedite samples through the QC lab

- Insures that proper records of the analyses performed are accurate and maintained properly.

- Maintain Statistical Process Control on lab instruments and analyses

- Ensure that all laboratory equipment is in proper working condition and is properly maintained

Additional responsibilities include:

- Perform any other function assigned by Manager/Supervisor

- Keeps lab and work areas neat and clean

- Assist in meeting all GLP and Safety requirements

- Manages QC sample retention and assist in sampling raw materials and finished products.

- Assist the Regulatory Dept by providing data for MSDS and Specifications

Salary range: $57,000 to $63,000

Skills and Requirements

BA/BS Degree in Business or Science preferred but open to all

 Any experience in a quality control type of role (This person can be straight out of college!)

 Any experience working within a lab environment preferred

 Has the think outside of the box & attentional to detail mentality.
