A client in the transportation industry is looking for a Power BI Developer to join them for a critical short term project.

Power BI Developer with strong data modeling and DAX development skills to support a high-impact, 9-week project. This role will focus on building a single HR Dashboard that integrates data from 4 different HR-related sources, ensuring seamless data visualization with drill-through capabilities. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of Power BI data modeling, complex DAX calculations, and integrating multiple data sources into a unified reporting structure.

The developer will collaborate closely with a Business Analyst and business stakeholders to deliver a well-structured, insightful, and performant dashboard.

Skills and Requirements

Power BI Expertise: 4+ years of hands-on experience in developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and models.

Data Modeling & Integration: Strong skills in Power Query, star schema modeling, relationships, and handling multiple sources in a single report.

DAX Mastery: Experience writing complex DAX expressions for calculated columns, measures, and KPIs.

Multi-Source Data Handling: Experience integrating multiple datasets into a single, coherent Power BI solution.

Performance Optimization: Ability to optimize data models, DAX queries, and report performance.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Ability to work closely with a Business Analyst to understand requirements and refine the final product. HR Analytics/HRIS Experience Familiarity with HR-related data (employee records, payroll, workforce analytics).

Azure or SQL Knowledge Ability to query databases and work with cloud data sources.

Power BI Service Administration Experience with publishing, sharing, and securing Power BI content in an enterprise environment. null
