Location: UC Medical Center Department: Inpatient Pharmacy Hours: Full-Time, 40 Hours / Weekly Shift: First Shift UC Health is hiring for (PGY2) Pharmacy Resident for The Inpatient Pharmacy Department at UC Medical Center Under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, and according to standard procedure the Pharmacy Resident is a licensed pharmacist in training who provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, clinical services and teaching. The resident provides services consistent with services provided by clinical staff pharmacists and clinical pharmacy specialists at UC Health. The resident training program is supported by site and the corporate department of UC Health Pharmacy Services.. Education: Minimum Required: PharmD. Applicants to international programs are graduates or candidates for graduation from a pharmacy degree program that is a minimum of five years in duration. License and Certification: Residents must obtain Ohio pharmacist licensure in the first third of the program to ensure two-thirds of the residency is completed as a licensed pharmacist based on ASHP requirements. If not licensed in Ohio by the residency start date, the candidate must obtain an Ohio Intern License. Required: Completion of eligible PGY1 Pharmacy Residency. Work Experience: No experience is required. Required Skills and Knowledge: Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods; work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff; handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule; set priorities and solve problems; respond quickly to emergency requests; communicate effectively (orally and in writing), and assist in meeting the pharmaceutical care needs of the patient populations served by the organization.
