We are looking for

A Maintenance Professional who is confident in their skills and ability, but also learns quickly. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to trouble-shoot and resolve problems, coming in with established skills and expertise that can be shared. They can work as both part of a team or a team leader and have the desire to help our organization move to the next level.

We count on you for

• General Maintenance activities.

• PLC knowledge – installation, programming, and trouble-shooting.

• Wiring of motors and HP load controllers, for 120VAC and 480VAC.

• Calibration and trouble-shooting of dp transmitters, flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, level transmitters, etc.

• Installation and testing of pressure switches, temperature switches.

• Potential for loop tuning, but not mandatory.

This position is a Straight Shift Maintenance Position in a Union shop, on-site. The Plant operates on a 24/7 schedule, except on agreed holidays. The Maintenance department currently works an 8 hour day shift, Monday through Friday, with some overtime, weekend and on-call responsibilities. You can expect to be challenged daily in this position. If you’re up to the task we’re the place to be - Solvay’s benefits are among the best in the area.

You will bring

• 7-10 years of maintenance experience with a thorough knowledge of instrumentation and electrical installation, trouble-shooting, and diagnostics.

• Broad range of experience in electrical controls, PLCs, variable frequency drives, electrical distribution, etc.

• Experience with instrumentation for slurry, abrasive applications and dry powder transfer is a plus.

• Qualification will be verified via testing and evaluation.

• Competitive salary; salary range of $29.15/hourly (to start)-$39.32/hourly (after successfully completing a 6 months training). Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base hourly range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
