HealthFitness Facility Supervisor in Cincinnati, Ohio

Delhi Athletic Club managed by HealthFitness has an immediate opening available for a Facility Supervisor at this brand new 65,000 sq.ft. facility which also includes a cultural arts and banquet center in addition to the fitness and aquatics areas. This new facility is located just outside Cincinnati, OH and is slated to open June 1st. This key individual will supervise work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure a clean, orderly, and attractive facility. This key individual will assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action. They may also purchase facility supplies and equipment, take periodic inventories, screen applicants, train new employees, and recommend dismissals.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain and lead daily operations of the housekeeping function for the entire facility to ensure compliance of HealthFitness client obligations.

  • Enforce all sanitation policies and procedures as applicable to the housekeeping function to ensure safety for all facility staff and participants.

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities for housekeeping in accordance with HealthFitness policies, procedures and applicable laws including recruiting, onboarding, training, evaluating, developing, and succession planning. Determines and assigns work assignments to ensure staff remains challenged and productivity is maximized. Promotes and encourages career growth.

  • Create and maintain the schedule for all housekeeping staff including handling absences and ensuring staffing level consistently meets requirements. The supervisor will fill in during staffing shortages as a substitute when needed

  • Clearly communicate all necessary information and expectations from management to housekeeping staff

  • Maintain supplies and amenities throughout the club.

  • Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation.

  • Responsible for cleaning, sanitation and maintenance in locker rooms, restrooms, and fitness equipment. Ensure that the free weight area is clean and weights are returned to their racks.

  • Wash, dry, fold and replenish towels, member garments, cleaning rags and mop heads.

  • Other duties as needed/assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or higher.

  • Must be able to work a schedule that will include split shifts and weekends.

  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of housekeeping experience at current facility.

  • Will need to obtain Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American Safety & Health Institute or National Safety Counsil (must be OSHA compliant with an in-person practical).
