What you'll own A Hosting Linux Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Linux systems and infrastructure within an organization. This includes installing and configuring Linux servers, managing user accounts, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring system security. Proficiency in Linux operating systems: A strong understanding of Linux distributions such as CentOS, Ubuntu, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux is essential for a Linux engineer. Knowledge of command-line utilities, file systems, networking, and security features is also important. Scripting and automation: Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl is crucial for automating tasks and managing system configurations efficiently. System administration: Hands-on experience in system administration tasks such as installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, as well as managing user accounts, permissions, and system resources. Networking skills: Knowledge of networking protocols, services, and troubleshooting techniques is important for setting up and configuring network services on Linux systems.
