Description

We are on the lookout for a meticulous Financial Analyst to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and developing strategies to help guide business decisions. This role involves evaluating financial performance, conducting forecasts, and providing insights to support strategic planning and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations.

• Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.

• Develop financial models and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.

• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.

• Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and report on discrepancies.

• Conduct variance analysis to compare actual financial results with budgeted and forecasted figures.

• Identify reasons for variances and provide actionable recommendations.

• Support the development of financial strategies and long-term plans.

• Collaborate with management to evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and financial risks.

• Utilize software systems such as ERP Solutions, Great Plains, and About Time to streamline accounting functions and budget processes.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably within the Waste, Refuse & Environmental Waste Management industry

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems and ERP Solutions

• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) and About Time software

• Demonstrated experience in CapEx (Capital Expenditure) and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Knowledge of Accounting Functions and Budget Processes

• Experience in Expense Reporting and Finance

• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Professional certification such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is desirable

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
