UC Health is hiring a full-time Emergency Management Manager The Manager of Emergency Management is responsible for the Ambulatory and EM Education programs at UC Health. The EM Manager will maintain Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management for the Ambulatory campuses across UC Health. The Manager Emergency Management will participate with internal and external agencies and committees regarding emergency preparedness to ensure that all Joint Commission, CMS and other regulatory guidelines for the Emergency Management standards are known and met. In addition, the EM Manager will have training and education responsibilities for the emergency management programs at UC Health. • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree - Emergency Management or related field.
• Preferred: Master's Degree. | 3 - 5 Years equivalent experience.

License & Certification:

• Prior training, certification and experience in the following areas strongly preferred: emergency planning and management, ICS, NIMS, HICS, DECON, HAZ-MAT and adult learning and education.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

• Healthcare emergency management related experience
• 2-5 years' experience related to disaster preparedness training, in a hospital, community, regional, and/or military setting, or environment.
• Prior training, certification, and experience in the following areas strongly preferred: healthcare emergency planning and management, emergency department, emergency medical services and/or fire services, incident command, risk management, hazardous materials management.
• Training or experience in adult education and training management.
• Training or experience in Joint Commission standards.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Capable of relating to diverse age, demographic, and culturally diverse populations.
• Ability to relate and implement training to clinical staff.
• Demonstrated the ability to participate and lead high functioning teams.
• Works well in team.
• Experience and proficient using Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using technology systems for computer based training needs and reports.
