GIRD Systems Electronics Engineering Technician in Cincinnati, Ohio

GIRD is looking for an electronics engineering technician. This individual will be responsible for the build and test of electronic assemblies that will be used for airborne and ground-based radios. This position requires knowledge of both manual and automated test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power supplies). The engineering technician will work closely with design engineers and must have the ability to read and understand electrical schematics and other engineering drawings.     This individual will need to have strong component-level troubleshooting skills and must also have basic assembly skills.  Additional desirable skills include the ability to write test plans and test procedures at both the subassembly and assembly level, as well as to perform the data collection for ATP. Candidates with RF backgrounds, including knowledge of signal modulation, error vector magnitude, and bit error rate measurements, are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

•    Associates Degree from an accredited two-year technical school or Military School equivalent. •    2 years of experience directly related in electronics assembly, test, and repair. •    Prior experience in engineering and manufacturing environment. •    Experience in the aerospace industry is highly encouraged, but not required. •    Experience with fabrication of electronics. •    Experience with test plans and test procedures. •    Working knowledge of schematics and engineering drawings. •    Understanding of basic circuit behavior. •    Experience with soldering and soldering standards.
