Title: Claims Operations Associate

ALTA is supporting a contract opportunity working 100% remote.

The hiring managers would prefer candidates who are located in the Eastern or Central Time Zones.

Our client is currently seeking a Claims Operations Associate to support our growing Claims Operations department. This is a work from home opportunity for candidates available to work a schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time / 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Central Time, Monday-Friday. Required candidate location is within the Eastern Time Zone or Central Time Zone. This is a temporary contract assignment of 3+ months depending on business needs. Equipment will be supplied by the company.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates beginner to intermediate knowledge of the claims operations and the ability to identify and enter missing claims data, set up new claims, and complete simple forms with some guidance.

• Expands upon and employs problem-solving skills and learns the investigative methods needed to actively seek information required to resolve inquiries and issues.

• Learns to identify discrepancies in information gathered.

• Refers non-routine/complex issues to manager or more experienced staff.

• Becomes familiar with and utilizes multiple computer systems for policy analysis, claim management, data management, reporting, and productivity.

• Learns to utilize ClaimConnect, ClaimCenter, OpsNow, Maven, Outlook, and FNOL to track workload, finalize claims, manage activities, confirm claim information, and remain organized and timely.

• Executes basic claim setup and entry, coverage verification, and financial transactions.

• May assist with and/or create general correspondence.

• Maintains a professional demeanor in all situations.

• Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned.

• Works productively under close supervision; relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

  Education, Experience, Location and Availability:

• High school diploma is required

• Related claims set up, claims processing or claims operations support experience is required

• Workers' compensation or liability experience is a plus

• Location within the Eastern Time Zone or Central Time Zone is required

• Must be available to work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time / 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Central Time, Monday-Friday

• Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form is required

• Must be able to work with accuracy and speed with a variety of internal and external contacts

• Must be self-motivated as this is a work-from-home position
