Support supplier payment by resolving match exceptions/discrepancies. Assist in ensuring timely delivery and receipt of product by expediting overdue purchase order lines. Provide coverage for other buyers. * Customer Service: Assist in follow-up and closure of completed purchase orders. Advise departments on purchasing policies and procedures. Answer telephone inquiries. Provide quality customer service and support buying team projects. Perform related duties as required. * Maintain Relationships- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers, peers, internal customers, interdependent departments, and leadership. Confers with departments to obtain required information and resolve questions regarding requirements; revises specifications; when necessary, defines detailed and accurate specifications. * Data Management- Ability to utilize queries and provided data in Excel to reduce overdue purchase order lines, match exceptions, and obtain credits for over invoiced lines. Support and collaborate with peers to provide timely procurement and purchase order reconciliation. Reviews error reports and resolves related pricing, quantity, and freight terms discrepancies. * Systems and Processes- Works with Lead buyer to prepare information tools, training materials, and training seminars for requestors. Assist in adding new suppliers. Assists in evaluating and monitoring vendor performance. Maintain clear documentation and audit trail of procurement activities.
