The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology is seeking a full-time malignant hematology physician at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join our team. Compensation is highly competitive with the opportunity for incentives based on clinical and/or academic productivity. Essential Functions This full-time malignant hematology clinical position will include both outpatient and inpatient patient care, clinical investigation including participation in clinical trials and teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows in Hematology/Oncology. Faculty member will work at clinical locations on the Clifton campus to include fifty-two (52) hours per week.Initial estimated clinical efforts will include multiple outpatient clinic(s) each week and 12 weeks of inpatient or consult service each year. Clinical duties will include responsibilities for treating patients while accompanied by learners, including medical students, residents and fellows. Duties will include: Providing clinical care, in both outpatient and inpatient settings, to patients with oncologic and hematologic malignancies and other diseases that are treated with Hematopoietic Stem Cell (HSC) transplantation and cellular therapies, demonstrating knowledge of disease pathophysiology, diagnostic testing, coordination and timing between completion of standard care and transplant/cellular therapy, treatment eligibility criteria, pre-treatment conditioning regimens, immunosuppressive regimens, side effects and supportive care protocols. Evaluating and determining eligibility criteria for autologous, related-family and unrelated donors, as well as the methods of cell collection and anticipated side effects and management. Managing post treatment complications. Teaching in small groups while delivering patient care. Conducting independent research and scholarly activity in the field of stem cell transplantation and/or cellular therapies. This activity will
