GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Associate Designer is responsible for ideation and bringing to life creative concepts, refinement of concepts/artwork, problem-solving, and delivering production files under supervision of Designers, Senior Designers, Art Directors, Creative Director, mentors, and/or a member of the design/marketing leadership team.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• May be assigned to a small project or to phase(s) of larger project.

• Present design solutions to simple/routine problems.

• Apply specialized knowledge of design software/technology/discipline .

• Rely heavily on senior staff for design, ideation, and problem-solving guidance.

• Grow skills towards more autonomous design, ideation, and problem-solving.

• Receive daily guidance from senior staff and/or project leader.

• Work under direct supervision with specific instruction.

• Increase knowledge in design software/technology/discipline.

• May begin apprenticeship toward specialization.

• May have minor Line of Business (LOB) ownership responsibilities.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree OR Associates Degree in design, marketing or related field , or equivalent experience.

• Experience in PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign HIGHLY DESIRED.

• Ability to work through a problem effectively and provide a solution.

• Ability to accurately follow directions.

• Ability to work independently as well as in teams.

• Experience designing in Adobe Creative Suite and delivering designs deeply rooted in design principles/discipline.

• Ability to understand and apply solutions, ranging from abstract to specific, across a variety of channels.

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
