Job Overview The School of Education at the University of Cincinnati invites applications for a full-time, Assistant Professor-Educator (non-tenure track) in Applied Research Methods. This is a 9-month per year teaching position. The expected appointment will begin August 15, 2025. The Research Methods area of the School of Education trains graduate students primarily through the Educational Studies MA and PhD programs and serves graduate students from departments across the University with a significant range of Research Methods course offerings. The Research Methods faculty have a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and the value of diverse research methods. Collectively, our methodological specializations include quantitative design, statistics, and measurement; action research and participatory methods; and mixed methods research. We are seeking a faculty member with a passion for teaching applied research methods and working with graduate students. This Educator position involves teaching introductory statistics courses and the introduction to research methods course as well as mentoring master's students using a variety of research methods in their capstone projects. In addition, the position includes the possibility of teaching other applied research and evaluation courses aligned with the educator's expertise (e.g., survey methods, qualitative methods, or conducting quantitative research). Although this is primarily a teaching position, the successful candidate will be expected to engage with and advise graduate students; actively participate in program meetings and support program functioning; and contribute to ongoing development and review of courses/curriculum.
