Product development Engineer with experience in aerospace product development. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in product development within the aerospace defense industry and possess expertise in CAD customization and automation, specifically with CATIA V5 and SolidWorks APIs. This role requires a U.S. Green Card holder or US Citizen . Key Responsibilities: * Work with product development of aerospace defense and drone products for design, analysis, prototype, integration, troubleshooting, and verification and assist in new product launch to production * Improve product development processes by employing lessons learned and best practices such as modelling & simulation, design reviews, design outsourcing, tolerance analysis, DFMEA/PFMEA, DFX, retrospective, post-mortem, and customer feedback. * Manage the design and development of new Unmanned Aircraft System products, subsystems, as well as product changes and enhancements. * Utilize CAD software, particularly CATIA V5 and SolidWorks for design and development activities. * Develop and implement CAD automation solutions using CATIA CAA and SolidWorks APIs for process automation. * Participate in design reviews, testing, creation of technical reports and documentation. Good to have: * technical knowledge and experience to understand and evaluate design and development activity across multiple engineering disciplines. * Familiar with aircraft design: configuration, aerodynamics, structural, propulsion, control, etc. * Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, for developing and automating engineering tools. * Strong understanding of aerospace defence industry standards and regulations such as ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) guidelines. * experience with Solid Works and designing electrical rotating machines for high-performance applications. * familiarity with MIL-STD-810 or DO-160, familiarity with MIL-STD 961D standards (or equivalent) for developing subsystem technical specifications. * Experienced with test and measurement techniques used in aerospace industries * Knowledge of Verification and Validation (V&V) activities to ensure product compliance with specifications and standards. * experience with full product development life cycle from concept to production with proven track-record of launching new products to production.
