Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the STRL Mission Support direct hire authority. Responsibilities You will assist with designing and fabricating prototype hardware. You will test vehicles and test support equipment for life support. You will operate conventional and CNC lathes in accordance with customer requirements. You will determine the appropriate manufacturing material to meet the weight and size requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications DT-03:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DT-02 (GS 5-8 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Assisting with designing and fabricating prototype hardware; 2) Working with and/or developing new life support equipment; 3) Collaborating, coordinating, and communicating effectively with team members, engineers, customers and management, to assure all approved procedures for testing are followed; and 4) Ability to proficiently perform welding operations with a variety of methods including MIG (GMAW), Arc (SMAW) and TIG. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
