Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Chillicothe, OH

Role

This position will lead, supervise, instruct, and coach our mechanical maintenance team to optimize process and asset reliability through the effective application of predictive and preventive maintenance best practices. This position will promote and insure safe and flexible work practices, as well as engaging team members to drive continuous improvement.

Accountabilities

• Actively coach safe behaviors and lead safety initiatives.

• Build employee engagement and development to create high skill level and maximum versatility.

• Supervise Millwrights

• Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance team members to execute emergency work, preventative work, and planned work.

• Work with Operations Maintenance Coordinators on weekly and daily maintenance schedules.

• Interface with crafts team members, engineering, vendors, and outside contractors to efficiently complete expense and capital projects.

• Provide & coordinate technical expertise on mechanical maintenance needs.

• Procure parts and services in coordination with Planners.

• Handle administrative responsibilities including 1on1 evaluations, time off approval, purchase requisitions, annual goals, and mechanical preventative maintenance routes.

• Administer crafts union contracts.

• Provide weekend coverage on a rotating basis.

• Must be able to move about the mill freely (extensive walking, climb ladders and stairs, etc.) and able to tolerate temperature extremes.

  Qualifications

• 5 years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

• Demonstrated supervisory experience

• Experience with paper production maintenance & processes.

• Demonstrated Passion for Team Member SAFETY

• Strong computer skills (SAP & Microsoft Office).

• Strong technical, problem solving, decision-making, analytical abilities, and project management skills.

• Self-starter able to work effectively with minimal direct supervision.

• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment, prioritize and execute multiple time sensitive projects and issue

• Able to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and thrive in a team environment.
