JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead engine design efforts for new NPI programs

• This position is within the C27/C32/3400V engine platform team

• Accountable for the engine design/performance/manufacturability

• Provide technical leadership for new Machine and Commercial engine programs as well as product robustness initiatives that will improve engine health in the field and reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for our customers.

• Leading engine design efforts for new NPI programs, including Design Reviews from initial content definition through full Production

• Identifying program risks and tradeoffs and providing technical solution

• Acting as the integration point between L5 application and L3 design teams

• Providing technical leadership for NPI, NTI, CPI, and BIQ issue resolution

• Coordinating builds with the factory and addressing assembly issues

• Evaluating and deploying engine robustness and service interval improvements

• Travel of 5-10% may be required to interact with manufacturing or supplier personnel

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

• Accredited 4-yr Engineering degree and/or technical degree plus 5+ years of Engine product development experience, including two or more of the following: engine design, performance, validation, new technology introduction, manufacturing, and/or test

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex technical projects

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Self-starter with ability to prioritize and proven decision-making skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Engine-specific design, application, and/or test experience

• New product introduction team lead experience

• Experienced collaboration with L5 application engineering teams and L3 component design teams during NPI and/or NTI programs

• NPI Team Lead Experience

• Ability to work multiple high-paced complex projects concurrently and drive them to timely resolution

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate across all management levels

• Continuous learner
