Synchrony VP, Vet/Pet Marketing in Chicago, Illinois

Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

We are looking for a driven, entrepreneurial minded marketer to help us grow our Veterinary/Pet Care market. The new VP, Veterinary Client Marketing role is a high profile, dynamic position responsible for acquiring and growing client relationships as well as leading strategic initiatives within the Veterinary industry. This position will work with sales and internal teams to innovate and execute B2B, and B2B2C marketing strategies that drive practice acquisition, practice engagement, consumer acquisition and usage of the CareCredit credit card and Pets Best Pet Health Insurance at provider locations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Veterinary industry partners, associations and clients to develop marketing programs that align with their goals and strategies, and drive acquisition of new cardholders, increase organic growth and share of revenue.

  • Partner with sales Leadership to develop marketing strategies that drive provider acquisition, engagement with enrolled practices and industry partnerships to meet company goals

  • Work closely with cross-functional marketing teams (direct to consumer, cardholder, digital and Lifecycle, Product) to identify opportunities to drive acquisition, repeat usage and engagement content for supporting marketing programs

  • Engage with analytics and finance to identify opportunities based on client growth trends, penetration and financial performance as well as create dashboards to deliver actionable metrics Utilize key metrics to support clients, uncover opportunity and develop/ track campaign analytics

  • Develop an annual marketing calendar, leveraging allocated resources, manage and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns.

  • Develop educational online and offline content to support direct marketing, align with market dynamics and drive business needs (webinars, videos, case studies, and white papers)

  • Analyze research and data to translate into strategies. Identify intelligence gaps, and field needed intelligence.

  • Work with the research team to develop and deploy studies and surveys to uncover actionable insights to guide strategies, content and positioning

  • Manage advertising/marketing agencies to develop and implement multi-channel campaigns and programs

  • Understand and comply with the marketing requirements defined in client and partner agreements

  • Lead acquisition and curation of competitive intelligence, secondary research and primary research to establish and maintain industry data points and case studies.

  • Lead cross-functional projects involving various levels of management

  • Find online secondary research and leverage primary research to establish and maintain industry data points and case studies.

  • Executive level presentation development and delivery

  • Manage budget including forecasting and tracking

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 10 years of marketing experience

  • 7+ years of marketing experience that includes innovating and executing comprehensive multi-channel marketing campaigns

  • 4+ years client-facing experience in a sales, marketing, or business development capacity

  • 2+ years consumer marketing experience

  • Ability to travel 15%

Desired Characteristics:

  • Veterinary/pet care/animal health industry or healthcare experience strongly preferred

  • Experience identify/creating/growing relationships with industry partners, associations and key opinion leaders

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Some experience with Salesforce and marketing cloud

Grade/Level: 12

The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
