Help at Home Vice President, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) in Chicago, Illinois

Job Summary:

This vital leadership position of VP, RCM reports to the CFO and will be responsible for leading Help at Home’s revenue cycle management (RCM) activity, ensuring the function can keep pace with the organization’s growth and footprint expansion across multiple geographies. The Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management will develop a high performing RCM function and provide strategic direction for the group.

This position will lead integration and standardization of existing and acquired operations by employing best practices and technology to create scalable and industry leading end to end revenue cycle processes, creating clear operational, financial, quality, and strategic advantages for the organization. As a trusted advisor to the CFO this individual must be a metrics driven, goal-oriented, collaborative problem solver.

This is a remote position with some travel required.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the architect for the revenue management strategy build out,

  • Evaluate and transform current department geographic and functional structure to maximize outcomes throughout the revenue cycle:

  • Design, build and implement standardized processes and systems for a scaled and growing organization across multiple geographies,

  • Enhance and employ key metrics for the measurement of group and individual performance,

  • Effectively integrate RCM activities from acquisitions into Help at Home to optimize performance.

  • Lead, engage and develop a geographically distributed team,

  • Ensure scalability for the RCM team, technology, and overall function,

  • Ensure services are delivered with highest quality and in compliance with related regulations,

  • Serve as manager and hands on leader, understanding the details of operations and performance and getting directly involved to triage issues as they arise

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • Ten (10+) years of progressive experience with a track record of leadership success in health care revenue cycle management.

  • Demonstrated achievement building high performing RCM operations in a distributed, multi-site, multi-state company.

  • Experience leveraging technology to streamline operations.

  • In-depth understanding of Revenue Cycle metrics and best practices.

  • Experience with Governmental and Third-Party Payor billing and compliance audits.

  • Knowledgeable in broad range of billing systems and payor portals.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the federal, state, and local regulatory requirements around HCBS billing.

  • Previous experience working directly with diverse payor sets (MCOs and government payors, with particular experience in Medicaid funded payors).

  • Strong understanding of payer contracting.

  • Ability to drive results in a dispersed team environment and communicate effectively across the organization.

  • Broad experience in a highly professional and successful healthcare services company
